Topshop Sheer Lip in 'Chuck'

I really cannot resist a lipstick, they are my ultimate guilty pleasure! I rarely stray from my nude lip which is evident if you look at the number of nude lip posts I've done in the past but often I like to spice up my life and inject a bit of colour into my pout. Now I'm not too brave when it comes to colour so the Topshop Sheer Lip in 'Chuck' is perfect for me. This lipstick with its hint of colour and the gorgeous formula has really won me over.

Let's start with the packaging. The Topshop Sheer Lips have different packaging to the normal lipsticks and have a taller, thinner and sleeker case. The matte black and starry design is very different from the normal packaging but is equally as lovely.

The formula applies so easily, leaving a moisturising shiny finish. When I say moisturising I really do mean it! It's like applying Vaseline to my lips, it makes them so smooth! The sheer finish it leaves is really appealing to me as it makes my lips look really healthy and plump which they definitely don't normally look like!

This is the kind of lipstick you can wear on a daily basis and not worry if it is fading as it just blends into your natural lip colour. I would describe the colour as a wash of cherry on the lips as although it is red it also has pinkish tones to it, especially when you build it up as you can see in the swatch and the iPhone pic! I do however prefer lightly applying it so that it looks natural and fresh.

This has now become my go-to lipstick if I'm in a rush and want a wash of colour on my lips but don't want to keep touching it up throughout the day! I'm really pleased I got it and my new found fondness of Topshop makeup is definitely growing!

MAC Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish

For around a year now I have been borrowing *stealing* this product from my sister's makeup drawer and now I've finally got my own! MAC's Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish is quite simply the bomb. This little compact of shimmer has become one of my coveted 'holy grail' products.

I first used this product around four years ago when my cousin used it to highlight my face when doing my makeup. As a fourteen-year-old girl, I literally fell in love with its gorgeous shimmery powers and the way it made my face glow. However, I never really saved up the £22.00 price tag as I spent most of my money on sweeties so I waited until my sister brought it so I could just "share" it with her.

Let me inform you as to why this is one of my favourite MAC products. Firstly, it's a metallic finish mineral powder that is an all-round highlighting product and adds a much-needed glow to my face. What I love is it really plays with light and highlights the skin better than any other highlighting product I've used. MAC also have various other shades on the Mineralize Skinfinish powders but I've got to say Soft and Gentle is the prettiest. It has gorgeous champagne and light gold tones to it that really compliment the skins natural tone.
I apply this product along my nose, on my cheekbones and on my forehead to slim down the face and give me a natural glow. I tend to apply this product right at the end of my makeup routine to add that extra something special as it really does transform the face and create a flawless effect. It also photographs really well, I always feel like photos of my face always come out much nicer when I have this applied to my face! So, if you're in a MAC store soon or are looking for a product to add to your MAC lust list I would definitely give this one a try!

The Topshop Nude Lip

What a surprise, more nude lip products. I just can't seem to stop myself, this is now turning into a ridiculous obsession. I've always lusted after Topshop makeup as I've always loved their lipstick colours and the quirky packaging but for some reason, I just never got around to trying any out. This is mainly due to the fact that my local Topshop never has what I want and I like to try things out before I buy them online. However, I've finally got my paws on a few of their products and these are two that I've been loving.

The lipstick in the shade 'Nevada' is a beautiful peachy nude. The formula is really similar to MAC's lustre lipsticks and has a really creamy texture which I love. What's really nice about this lipstick is that when it fades off of the lips it doesn't leave a horrible residue but the colour gently washes away. One thing I would say is that it's definitely suited for fairer skin tones so I probably wouldn't wear it when I've got a load of fake tan on as it would probably wash out my lips and look like one of those white nude lipsticks that look awful.
The lip liner in the shade 'Ceramic' looks slightly dark in the photo but it is actually the perfect match for my lip colour. It's great for enhancing and altering your lip shape and isn't drying at all which I find with a lot of lip liners.

Together the two create a pretty peachy nude lip which I will be wearing until I discover a new nude lip duo to lust over! Sorry, there are no photos of this on my lips but I spent the weekend curled up in bed feeling sorry for myself as I was poorly so I couldn't deal with putting any makeup on!

Hope you've all had a lovely Monday! (if that's even possible)

LUSH: Let The Good Times Roll Cleanser

A cleanser that smells like popcorn and leaves your skin super smooth? Yes, please.

I popped into Lush to have a browse intending not to buy anything but obviously, I couldn't leave empty handed as usual. I had heard about 'Let the good times roll' a while back and it was on my lush lust list so I knew that it was a nice product but what really enticed me into buying it was the smell. Words can not describe how beautiful this smells, its like heaven in a pot.

The lovely lady in the LUSH shop informed me that this is a great cleanser for dry skin which I have during the winter time so I knew I had to have it. To use it you take a little bit out of the pot and mix it with water in the palm of your hands. It then turns into a popcorn-scented paste. It's quite an exfoliating cleanser as even though it's a watery paste it still has a slight grit to it. For me, this is brilliant as I often get dry flakes around my nose and this makes sure they are all scrubbed away. What is also nice about it is that although it's exfoliating it's so moisturising as well so it doesn't leave your skin feeling battered.

I've been using this every day for almost 2 weeks now and I've got to say my skin is looking and feeling great. It leaves my skin looking so radiant and really combats my dry skin.

If your a sucker for sweet scent or a fan of Lush products you should definitely try this cleanser out! If you already have then you know just how incredible it is!

January Favourites

January has been a very busy, exciting month and a great start to the New Year. I have been loving lots of things this month but I've narrowed it down to my top four favourites because otherwise, I would be writing a whole essay on an array of beauty goods!

  1. Tom Ford Blush in 'Narcissist' - How pretty is this blush, I'm obsessed with the colour of it! I inherited this unused blush off of my sister when she had a makeup clear out and I'm so in love with it. It reminds me of a lot of the 'Pink Spirit' blush palette by Sleek and it's so fun and bright! The colour is very pigmented so it needs quite a bit of blending but its worth it for such a lovely flush of pink on the cheeks.

2. Benefit Ring My Bella Perfume - I've been trying to use up the perfumes that have been sitting in my drawer for the last couple of months and this is one of them. I'm a sweet perfume kind of girl so this is right up my street. Also, the packaging is gorgeous and the perfect size, it fits in all my clutch bags which none of my other perfumes does! I'm sure the bottle is going to run out soon as I've been wearing it every day so I think a repurchase will be needed!

3. Clinique Chubby Lips in 'Pudgy Peony' - I have really embraced the pink this month and have been loving my 'Pudgy Peony' chubby. It's the perfect hot pink shade and brightens up any look! Just as a side note I don't wear this with my Tom Ford blush otherwise I would look a little to pink for my liking.

4. Clinique Even Better Eyes - I'm a slight hoarder of products for dark circles and this one so far would have to be my favourite. It has a slight tint to it and it really brightens up my under eye area. The applicator is also so lovely, If you put this in the fridge before you use it then it will feel like heaven when you apply it under your eyes it the mornings.

Hope you've all had a lovely January!

TAG: All Bloggers Great And Small

I've been really excited to write this as it's my first ever tag post! I was tagged by the lovely Nikki from floralsundays to do the All Bloggers Great and Small tag which was created by Elena from Bumble Bea Me. The tag is for blogs with less than 1000 followers and is a way to promote small-dedicated blogs that deserve some recognition - which I think is a lovely idea! So here are the answers to the tag :)

1.     What makes you want to blog?
Blogging always makes things better, it's a way for me to write about the things I love and share them with people who are as beauty obsessed as I am. Its also so nice to have something that I'm proud of and love doing!

2.     Your Morning skin routine?
When I have enough time in the morning I love to cleanse, tone and moisturise but most of the time I'm in a rush so I just splash water on my face and spritz some toner on!

3.     Your favourite blogger?
As I spend most of my time reading blogs I have quite a few! But my all time favourites would have to be Hello October and Milk Bubble Tea.

4.     A beauty product you couldn’t live without?
Probably fake tan, if I didn't have a fake tan I would look like a ghost!

5.     Your favourite make-up brand (drugstore)?
 L'Oreal, Sleek and Rimmel

6.     Your favourite make-up brand (High-end)?
I would have to say MAC as I'm slightly MAC obsessed but I also love Clinique and Tom Ford!

7.     What is your staple wardrobe item?
My Micheal Kors bag or my black ankle boots

I Tag:
Any of my lovely readers who would like to join in! Let me know if you do it so I can read your answers :)
