November Favourites

This is the first post in over two weeks and I've really missed my little blog a lot! I've been away from home and didn't have my camera to take any photos so I was unable to put any posts up. However what this does mean is that I have a list of things to blog about and so in the next week expect a lot of posts! I thought I would start of with my November favourites as tomorrow is the 1st December (squeals) and I've got a few products that I've been loving this month.

The first thing is the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth shampoo and conditioner. TRESemmé is the haircare brand that I always return to mostly because It always pleases me and has a long lasting scent that smells incredible on the hair. I was suffering with extremely frizzy hair at the beginning of this month and needed to tame it. This shampoo and conditioner has turned my once frizzy mane into sleek and shiny locks. I've also been loving the TRESemmé straightening spray which smooths the hair and ensures no kinks appear in my hair.

My next favourite this month has got to be the Right Guard Shower + Oils that makes me look forward to having a shower as I'm much more of a bath girl. The combination of Argan, Marula and Almond oils leave the skin feeling so soft and smelling gorgeous. I normally prefer a shower cream as opposed to the gel as I feel its more nourishing but the added oils really treat and nourish the skin!

Now on to makeup. This Month I've had three products that Ive used almost every day. First up is the Sleek Blush Palette in Lace which I can't get enough of. I've had the palette for a while but took it away with me as it offers three blushes in a palette which gives me a nice choice of blushes to use. However the one colour I've worn the most is Guipure which I cant seem to get enough of. Next up is Seventeens Phowarr Paint which I blogged about earlier in the month. This under the eye concealer is just great and it always picks me up and makes me look a lot more acceptable on a early morning. Last but not least is my L'Oreal Collection Privee lipstick by Cheryl which I can say I've worn almost everyday for the past two weeks. It's the best daytime lipstick and looks beautiful on, it also gets a lot of compliments which is always nice!

Hope you've all had a lovely month :)

November Glossy Box

Another month, another Glossy Box. Whenever I receive my box I can't believe how much time has gone by! Last months box was rather lacklustre and had me questioning my subscription but I couldn't bare to part with the pretty little pink box that gets delivered to my doorstep. This month to see some full size products mixed in and some products that I'll actually use!
Included in the November box is:

1. Vichy Idealia Life Serum (3 sample sized)  - For ages now I've wanted to get my hands on the Vichy Idealia Life Serum so I was ecstatic to see that they're were samples included in the box. Granted they're only small but this is the kind of thing I actually enjoy samples of as it means I can try it out and see if I like it before I purchase. I can't wait to try it out and see if it lives up to its much hyped standard!

2. Emite Make Up Micronized Eyeshadow - This shade reminds me so much of MAC's 'Naked Lunch' eyeshadow which is by far my favourite eye shadow shade. I already know I'm going to use this eyeshadow a lot.

3. Yves Rocher Hand Cream - This hand cream smells so divine. If you like cocoa butter then this hand cream will be right up your street. I have a slight penchant for hand creams so it's always lovely to have a new one.  I've never tried any Yves Rocher products before but I've heard them mentioned a couple of times they're a great affordable brand so it's nice to try this out.

4. Elegant Touch Rapid Dry for Nails - I always hate waiting for my nails to dry so this is perfect for me. I've never used a nail drying spray before only when I've had my nails done professionally so I'm super excited to give this a go.

5. B. Nail Polish - I wouldn't of personally picked this shade myself as its a very dark grey almost black and I tend to wear lighter colours on my nails. Despite this I painted it on my nails, which actually look quite nice. It's high shine and drys pretty quickly.

Seventeen's Phwoarr Paint - Heavy duty under eye concealer

I've had quite a few late nights and early mornings recently which have resulted in horrible dark circles under my eyes. I normally get by just using my Garnier eye roller which does the job however I needed something with slightly more coverage. I'd heard a lot of things about Seventeen's heavy duty under the eye concealer and knew that I needed it in my life.

I've never really bought anything from the Seventeen collection so I was slightly wary as to whether or not my skin would get on with it but the first experience has gone down a treat. The concealer is thick, creamy and camouflages up those dark circles making you look like you've had a full nights rest when really you've been surviving on four hours sleep. It also covers up blemishes reasonably well and hides the broken capillary I have under my eye so that its barely visible.  I probably won't need to use this every day but its now a staple in my makeup bag and I'm forever thankful for its ability to make me look half alive in the mornings!

L’Oreal Collection Privee Lipstick - Cheryl's Nude

The L'Oreal Collection Privee Lipstick range offers a variety of "perfect nudes" from various L'Oreal ambassadors. I've been eyeing up the L’Oreal Collection Privee for a while now and the one nude that stood out to me was the Cheryl version which sadly was always sold out. I liked the other ambassadors nudes but they didn't really stand out to me. Determined to try out the Cheryl shade I hunted it down in a newly opened Superdrug and rushed home to try it out.

Chery's nude is a very understated and everyday pink-brown, which is my ideal lipstick colour. The formula is very light and has a slight glossy texture. Amazingly it doesn't dry the lips and makes your lips feel lovely and moisturised.

L'Oreal get a A* for their packaging, its so beautiful and sleek. The gold accents against the matte black look beautiful along with the gold typography and Cheryl signature making the packaging look extremely luxurious.

I have so much love for this lipstick right now it's just my perfect kind of shade, if you haven't tried out the L'Oreal Collection Privee I would definitely reccomend this the Cheryl one!

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum

As much as I told myself I wouldn't buy this product as personally I think it's too expensive for a drugstore brand It somehow ended up in my shopping basket. I ran out of my Clinique Serum the other day and was looking into buying either a Estee Lauder or Vichy one but then I saw this on offer in Superdrug for £11.32 instead of £16.99 so I couldn't resist the bargain. I've read so many reviews on the skin perfection range and heard it praised a number of times so I knew that I would eventually have to try it out myself. I've been using the micellar water and toner from the range for a couple of months which are amazing so I was expecting big things from this serum.

One of my favourite things about the skin perfection range is that it's for younger skin, so unlike many other serums out there its not all about targeting aging. Instead the serum refines the texture of the skin, tighten pores, and evens the skin tone, three things that are extremely important to me. The bottle itself is lovely, it looks luxe and is the perfect little size. The smell of the serum is quite masculine but extremely refreshing. The formula is so lightweight and it applies so easily to the skin leaving it lovely and smooth. I think the smoothness is the best thing about this product, my skin has never felt so gorgeous and smooth before.

So to be honest after trying out this product I can understand the price tag as my skin hasn't felt or looked this lovely in ages. I'm glad I went against my judgement and picked this up, I can definitely see myself re-purchasing this product but I'll make sure that when I do it will be on offer again!

REVIEW: Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub

I've spoken about my recent love for face scrubs and so I thought I would share with you my recent addition to my growing face scrub family. I own quite a few rough face scrubs that aren't ideal for everyday use so I wanted to purchase a gentle, everyday scrub that I could use in the mornings and evenings that wouldn't be too harsh on my skin. I've always had a fondness of Neutrogena products, they've always worked really well with my skin and always do the job.

When I came across the Visibly Clear pink grapefruit daily scrub in Superdrug without hesitation I immediately picked it up. Firstly, the packaging is lovely mostly because its pink and pretty but also because it looks much more expensive than it really is, I always hate when I spend a fortune on products and they're packaging isn't nice. The smell is fresh and I surprisingly really like it seeing as I'm not a big fan of grapefruits themselves, unless they're covered in sugar.

The scrub itself is so refreshing and leaves the skin feeling purified and invigorated. It leaves the skin looking and feeling clean and gets rid of any excess dead skin cells which is exactly what I expect from a scrub.

I'm so happy I picked up this scrub in Superdrug and it was on offer, save 1/3 - bonus! I now really want to try out the grapefruit facial wash and the moisturiser which are also both on offer so I'm going to probably get them soon! My rekindled love for Neutrogena is in full swing, great products for great prices, whats not to love!

What's In My Clutch

One of my favourite posts to read are whats in my bag/clutch posts. So today I thought I would share with you all what I keep in my clutch. These are the sort of things I take out with me if I'm going for dinner or out for drinks. I normally change up what clutch I take out with me but my favourite at the moment is my Whistles Croc Clutch which pretty much goes with every outfit and is a perfect size to fit all of my things in.

Firstly, the most important thing in my clutch is my phone. I like to change up my cases a lot and feel that my bunny case is fun for nights out so I like to use it as I normally keep a plain black case on during the day. Next I carry my passport with me pretty much everywhere as I don't have a drivers license and so I use it for ID purposes. Also in there is my oyster card holder which I also use to hold my debit card, as it has two slots it's quite handy.

Now makeup essentials. On a night out I don't like to weigh down my bag with makeup. I've usually primed and used a setting spray so the majority of my makeup stays on my face. The one exception however is lip products. I always have a lipstick and lipgloss on me for touch ups. Currently I have MAC lipstick in 'Patisserie' and Miss Sporty lipgloss in Melrose Avenue, these two complement each other really nicely and create a very glossy nude lip.

As the clutch is not massive I can't carry around a big bottle of perfume so I often use up my samples on nights out. I'm currently using up Elemis Eau De Parfum which is a lovely fresh scent that isn't too overpowering but has a very distinguished smell.

As you can tell I don't carry masses around in my clutch, I like to keep it light and pack only the essentials. Hopefully soon I will do a whats in my bag post which will have a lot more stuff in it but first I need to sort it out as my day bag is a massive mess!

Hope your having a good day :)

Lush Ocean Salt Facial Scrub

Face scrubs are my ultimate beauty obsession at the moment, I can't get enough of them. I saw this scrub in Lush and fell in love with it's limey smell and the colourful blue sea salt that covers the surface. I was slightly apprehensive as the chunks of salt are quite large and I thought that they might be too harsh on my delicate skin but they work really well at scrubbing away the dirt and dead skin. Also, the avocado butter is so soft that it soothes the skin leaving it as soft as a baby's bottom.

This scrub is packed full of fresh grapefruit, lime, coconut oil, seaweed and even vodka! Basically it's like the cocktail of face scrubs. What I love about Lush is that when I look at the ingredients I can actually recognise some of them, unlike all the chemicals loaded into other products.

Personally I think this is best applied in the shower as it's not one of those scrubs that stick to your face and can cause a bit of a mess. It can also be used on the body but I think I'm going to stick to using it on my face. I've only been using this scrub for a while so I can't wait to see the long term effects of using it!
