Updated Hand & Nail Care Routine

Most of the time our hands get overlooked during our beauty routine. If you think about all of the ways we nourish our faces through cleansing, masks, exfoliation etc it makes you think what about our other body parts? Our hands touch so much and the amount of dirt and dead skin cells that builds up on them can't be gotten rid of easily especially not by just washing them. In fact many soaps especially if used excessively are harsh on the hands and often do them more harm than good. Therefore, I like to nourish my hands ensuring that they are looked after and stay soft and supple. I've recently upped my game and introduced new things in to my hand and nail care routine and thought I would share them with you all.

1. Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Hand Recovery - This is sort of the equivalent to a exfoliator and moisturiser rolled into one. The formula is extremely liquid based and oily but also has grains that when massaged into the skin get rid of dry skin cells and unwanted dirt on the hands. It leaves the hands lovely and soft and moisturised so on some days I don't even have to apply hand lotion.

2. Elemis Wild Lavender Hand Lotion - One of my favourite scents for lotions to have is lavender as I find the smell so soothing and relaxing. When looking for new hand creams I always like a light cream that soaks into the skin easily and doesn't leave the hands leaving sticky or overly moisturised. That's what I love about this hand cream - 2 minutes after applying it has sunk into your skin leaving it soft and enabling you to continue with your day.

3. Sally Hanson Nail growth Miracle Serum - I love a good serum to me they always seem like goodness in a bottle. I like to massage this on my nails and cuticles at night time allowing them to nourish over night. Sally Hanson has been my go-to brand for nail care my whole life as my Mum who has lovely nails has always used it.

4. Sally Hanson Green Tea & Bamboo Nail Strengthener - Nail Strengtheners are a must for me as I have extremely weak and brittle nails that always break. I picked up this particular one in Tkmaxx in their beauty section which always has hidden gems. It applies nicely and works perfectly as a base coat to my other nail varnishes.
