REVIEW: Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque

I love trying out products that have had rave reviews and seeing whether they've just been hyped up or if they really are beauty gems. So today I'm looking at the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque which is a clay mask that supposedly reduces breakouts and cleanses the pores.
Firstly, I don't like the packaging, it looks cheap and really lets down the product inside. Saying this it did only cost me £2.99 on Amazon plus postage so I wasn't expecting a whole lot of quality in the packaging design. Another thing is that I've read around that once the tube starts to run out it's extremely hard to get the product out so next time I might purchase the tub version instead.

Despite this, I do use this product a lot. If I'm going through a breakout then I apply this on my T-zone almost every day as it sucks out the excess oils and relieves the redness. When my skin is on its best behaviour and I'm not working on a targeted area I apply a thin layer all over my face twice a week to give my pores a treat and relax my skin. I love the smell of this mask, it's gorgeous and minty, leaving your face feeling refreshed and clean but the smell isn't too overpowering if you're not keen on minty scents.

So, I actually do really like this mask and probably will re-purchase due to its affordable price and the effect it has on the skin. Is it a miracle? Maybe not but it's a nice, affordable mask that leaves the skin refreshed and cleansed.
Faith x
